A Pittsford business is expanding, and the reason is for the birds. That’s right, birds.
The Bird House on Monroe Avenue is celebrating 19 years as a source for all things bird-related. Now, the store has recently expanded, moving into a closed business nearby for storage and delivery.
Owner John Gerhard says that gives him a lot more room to sell a lot more birdseed, suet, birdbaths, binoculars, and other things bird watchers want.
The Bird House is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
