JON WEBSTER BECOMES LAW PARTNER AT HARTER, SECREST, AND EMERY

Harter, Secrest & Emery LLP has hired Bausch & Lomb Inc.’s top in-house trademark lawyer.
Webster served as the eye care company’s chief trademark counsel, and had worldwide responsibility for Bausch & Lomb’s trademark and copyright portfolio. He also managed the firm’s false advertising, unfair competition and trade dress litigation.
Jon Webster will now join Harter, Secrest, and Emery as a partner in the law firm’s intellectual property group.
His move comes on the heels of Valeant Pharmaceuticals acquisition of Bausch and Lomb and it’s announced plans to cut the local workforce by some 400 jobs by November and move some of it’s operations to New Jersey.
