Eastman Kodak

A federal judge has ruled that Eastman Kodak can collect royalties on Pentax digital cameras from Ricoh.
How much? That’s anyone’s guess right now, but whatever the amount comes out to, the Pentax licensing fees will add to Kodak’s revenues as the company emerges from bankruptcy.
Kodak sued Ricoh in 2012, charging that Ricoh violated a patent license agreement with Kodak that was worked out back in 2002. Ricoh said that Kodak’s prior arrangements with Pentax meant Ricoh did not owe royalties.
