It looks like Rochester needs to find a contractor.
The city is looking for a construction firm to begin work at the Port of Rochester marina this fall, and also for a neighborhood developer.
Advertising for bids on the marina project, which is scheduled for completion by spring of 2015, started on Monday.
The other project involves public lands between North River Street and Lake Avenue into commercial and residential properties in the city’s new Marina District.
The idea of a marina and private developments at the Charlotte port and its surroundings was first introduced 48 years ago with the Genesee River Plan of 1965.
