This isn’t good…
According to state figures released on Wednesday, The Rochester City School District had the lowest performance of the state’s five largest districts when it came to English Language Arts and math proficiency standards.
Locally, just 5.4 percent of students met or exceeded the ELA proficiency standard, and only 5 percent met or exceeded the math proficiency standard. That compares with 11.5 percent and 9.6 percent for Buffalo schools, 16.4 percent and 14.5 percent in Yonkers and 26.4 percent and 29.6 percent in New York City.
